All 26 art prints in this monochrome series were produced on matte white paper, using the Piezography method using carbon inks with charcoal pigments. This work carried out in 2019 transports us to the heart of Japan. The theme, divided into four distinct parts, invites you to discover the essence of this country through street photography, kimonos, Zen philosophy and the still little-known world of Sumo. The stated choice for this deep and contrasting black and white refers, on the one hand, to the inks used for calligraphy and pays homage, on the other hand, to the masters of Japanese photography, such as Daido Moriyama, Shomei Tomatsu, and many others. This exhibition offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the richness and diversity of Japanese culture through exclusive photographs, limited to only 5 copies. We therefore invite you to browse each image according to your sensitivity and let your mind travel well beyond our borders.
