Dedicated to urban and contemporary art, Galerie Artima was founded in 2000 by two brothers, Olivier and Nicolas Waltman, who wanted to share their passion with collectors and art lovers. This fine family project also reflects their desire to spread and promote the work of emerging and established artists internationally.
Following a meeting with the renowned American artist Charles Fazzino, the two brothers decided to open their first gallery, Artima, on rue du Pas de la Mule, and became the artist's agent in France and Europe.
In 2005, Galerie Artima, with its rich and varied artistic selection, opened a new gallery on the Place des Vosges, its historic flagship address, to open up to a new public.
With these two addresses, the gallery offers an eclectic selection of art. Its aim is to shine a spotlight on new and emerging artists, offering them visibility and support in promoting their work, as well as more established names such as Charles Fazzino, Keymi, Bruno Helgen and Joan Longas.
In 2024, a third gallery opened in Honfleur, in the historic centre of this charming port town, with a group show bringing together its leading artists as well as new talent.
The gallery's team is dedicated to finding and believing in its artists, as well as supporting and advising collectors and art lovers.
