André Bourdier

A self-taught artist born in 1962 in Fontenay aux Roses.

After a devouring passion for poetry, he now emerges on the picture rail in a very particular style that brings a breath of fresh air to contemporary figurative art. His whimsical universe of “intertwined characters exalts the emotional vertigo at the ebb and flow of anatomical trajectories”. The recurring “GUNS” in this work symbolize destiny, justice, non-conformism. His abstract flowers express life, hope, the very nature of humanity. The syringe present in some paintings symbolizes education, culture, inculcated thoughts, from the earliest childhood.
