Arthur Dupuy

Multifaceted creative Arthur Dupuy has distinguished himself as an olfactory designer in Montpellier but also as an Artist. A native of Sète, he was immersed in local artists and the wealth of his city from his childhood.

Immersed in the Outrenoir of Pierre Soulages, seeing shapes there through personal interpretation, a passion was born for working with the “Noir de Mars" material. Bringing out from abstract painting through play on textures a kind of figurative expressionism releasing a certain energy.

“In this painting, I am free, completely free, both through the format and through unconventional techniques of production". An intellectual gymnastics on the abstract base material in order to discover a figurative form of a personal universe, favoring the material over support, with infinite properties which therefore becomes “signature".

The reflection of light and the subtlety of the background fully participate in the project in the darkness of the canvas to dialogue, live and integrate into the landscape, a living painting, evolving over time absorbing shadow and diffracting light .

“From meetings, exchanges, visits, travels, the idea gradually develops into performance, from photography born my drawing and from drawing sculpture on canvas"; a universe with multiple contours.
