

Biography
Jean-Michel Ducroux began his career in the photographic service of the armed forces in Grenoble. Assistant director of FIF Productions in Paris, he collaborated on the production of two medium-length films. Later, he became an independent photographer. He worked for agencies such as Wallis, ID. Com, Atsentzberger, Campagne-Campagne, as well as for magazines such as La France Agricole, Belgian national dailies "Le Soir", "La Libre Belgique".
After having coordinated the first two editions of the national event “photofolies”
organized by the Ministry of Culture for the city of Avignon, he has devoted himself since 1987 to performance photography, being a correspondent for the Foreign Press for the Avignon “In” Festival as well as for the National Library (archives of the Avignon In festival).
Founder and artistic director of the association "Itinérances l'Art Fixe en Mouvement" in 2000, he was commissioned by the city of Avignon to set up and organize the first Live Performance Photography Festival "Art'Images" in 2001, which he repeated in 2002. He also works for many theaters. His photos have been exhibited in France and abroad (Russia, Austria, Japan).
