Jacques Rouby

Jacques Rouby is a French artist, born in 1953 in Groudon, Lot. He lives and works in Souillac.

After having dedicated himself to drawing for a long time, his passion for painting came alive in the city of Collioure. He is fascinated by water and its peculiarities, until its climax, he immerses large painted boxes in order to realize the ephemeral aspect of things.

His artistic research leads him to all kinds of experiences and techniques, which made him also destroy one of his works during these experiences. He works on all kinds of materials, Rouby's work are abstract compositions, highlighted with poetry.
