

Biography
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Yuni Lee is a mixed-media artist who explores the harmony between nature and human-made elements through vibrant and textured artworks. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas and later completed a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at the University of North Texas. She is currently a senior lecturer in the Foundations program at the University of North Texas and resides in Dallas.
Her work is characterized by the use of vivid colors and intricate patterns, blending recycled materials with traditional painting techniques to create dynamic forms that merge nature and technology. She draws inspiration from organic shapes such as flowers, trees, and animals, juxtaposing them with geometric structures that symbolize 21st-century technological advancements. This approach aims to illustrate the coexistence of the natural and man-made worlds.
Yuni Lee has participated in numerous group and collaborative exhibitions, including the Dallas Art Fair, Aspen Art Fair, Fort Worth Community Art Center, and Greater Denton Arts Council. She is represented by Ro2 Art Gallery in Dallas and was awarded the Community Canvas Initiative by Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. Notable solo exhibitions include Balance (2017) and Mindscapes (2023), both held at Ro2 Art Gallery. Her exhibition Techstalgia: Echoes from a Small Screen is scheduled from December 9, 2023, to January 18, 2024, at Women & Their Work in Austin, Texas.
Through her artworks, Yuni Lee seeks to inspire reflection on how natural and artificial elements can harmoniously coexist while celebrating the beauty that emerges from this interaction.
