Jessica Houston tiene una maestría en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Columbia. Fue invitada como artista a un viaje al Ártico patrocinado por Cape Farewell. Ha creado obras de arte específicas para el MOCA de Nueva Jersey en Asbury Park, el Castello di Corigliano en Pugia, Italia, Governors Island en Nueva York y el aeropuerto de Albany en Nueva York.
