SOMEBODY, an intimate experience of the body

The body is an infinite source of inspiration, a captivating exploration of the human in its most authentic form. Seeking to capture its grace, its vulnerability and its power, reveals part of the essence of existence.

For the SOMEBODY exhibition, the body is celebrated naked. The works offer a variety of perspectives, using multiple media and processes. Painting, drawing, photography and sculpture come together to produce a protean combination of the body. Under this superposition of styles, each work bears witness to its uniqueness.

The organic is transformed into iconic representations combining the raw strength of lines and the delicacy of curves. The body bends to the demands of the explosion of points of view. It can be read here endlessly: figurative, unstructured or abstract. Like a puzzle, the figures emerge in open fields from the back, front, and profile and assert themselves in their individuality.

The delicate sketches capture the fleeting moment, while the sculptures immortalize the sculptural solidity of the human body. The gestures are studied to extract the character and the tension which are expressed in search of the moment, letting the body appear under a certain contortion. In this ballet of movements with fleeting and evanescent lightness, the poetic nude and the raw erotic dialogue. They propel us towards this virtuous and sensitive attraction and remind us that the body is an object of desire.

SOMEBODY is a bold celebration of the body that explores the complexity of our condition. A sensual experience of the perception of oneself and others which questions the essence of beauty.
