Biography
Benjamin Hendlisz is a Belgian artist, based in Brussels.
His work is available in multiple media: painting, drawing, digital works; and on a wide range of surfaces, from canvas to paper, from walls to wood and 3D volumes. His compositions are strong and minimalist, their sharp shapes and their colorful ranges create dynamics and shape spaces.
Drawing inspiration from nature, he created a visual alphabet that he uses to develop abstract concepts, convey emotions and sensations, and define space; thus establishing links between one of the classic subjects of painting and the modernity of the renderings he offers.
An abstract work that takes the spectators into its dreamlike world, shapes landscapes and invites contemplation. Its compositions, simple and strong, combined with the adopted color ranges, create harmonies choosing balance, sometimes, imbalance too.
Benjamin Hendlisz opens the doors to an art where sensations are experienced in the moment, without the need for explanations, when the emotion transmitted does not require words.
