Born in 1977 in Haute-Marne, he spent his childhood in the Corbières, at the foot of the Pyrenees, where he took his first family hikes. his studies took him to Paris, where he learned photography as an autodidact. He practices it in film, in black and white, walking the streets dear to Robert Doisneau and Willy Ronis.
Jérôme moved to the Rhône in 2001, and he discovered the Alps and its glaciers: it was a real revelation. Attracted by the peaks, he quickly feels the need to go to the heart of the mountains, where only certain initiates venture. Having become a climber and mountaineer, he forsook photography for a while for this new devouring passion which led him to the highest peaks, discovering bewitching landscapes made of rocks, snow and ice.
In 2013, he gives a professional aspect to this passion which he expresses through photography, with the desire to show the mountains from a different, personal angle, the result of the work of an author and his knowledge of the high mountain. His work has since been published, awarded and exhibited numerous times.
