Biography
Yazz, an artist of his time, with his feet on the ground and his head in his utopias, combines multiple artistic mandates. Stonemason and marble worker, sculpture teacher and street artist, painter, photographer and essayist, he practices the chisel, the brush, the lens and the pen through the encounters offered to him by the life which he devours tirelessly, with love and compassion. Its energetic and contrasting source of inspiration is built on the esoteric thread of life where chance does not exist.
Yazz's works interact with the place where they are located, fit into a mood and catch your eye.
If he has practiced stone cutting in contact with a number of monuments, today he sculpts no less numerous materials: clay, polyester, marble, for decorations or windows or simply for art lovers.
For several years, he has painted on multiple supports: paper, Plexiglas or metal. He molds living models in alginate or elastomer with his friend and colleague Jason DeCaires Taylor, which they immerse off the coast of islands like Cyprus, Lanzarote or closer, in France at Cannes. His works can be discovered here and there, on listed historic facades, on a wall on a street corner in street-art mode in Rouen, Paris, London and Rio de Janeiro, or simply in Giverny, place of residence artist where he creates and exhibits freely at the Le Jardin d'Eden gallery with the painter and visual artist Fablues.
