Thomas Pierre

Born in France into a family of artists, Thomas Pierre studied at the Rouen School of Fine Arts. Thoma Pierre's desire and the excitement of travelling led him to many destinations. After 15 years of travelling, his creation is deeply inspired by his encounter with Asian cultures combined with his Western references. 

From Normandy to Paris, passing through Berlin then Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia, each of these countries, each of these cities represents a particular moment in his career. Normandy and pixelated abstract expressionism, Paris and geometric abstraction reinvented, Bangkok in search of a virtual hybrid painting, Berlin where Thomas Pierre provokes pictorial gesture by creating a painting by physical extraction. 

In Phnom Penh, Cambodia, he finds a figuration transcended by the lush site of Angkor, Kuala Lumpur will be for him the return to a pictorial search playing with texture, tribal signs or baroque patterns... Today, he lives and works in France.
