Brother duo Roberto and Renato Miaz work under the alias of the Miaz brothers. The pair are said to be excavating the classical genre of portraiture through their large-scale, spray-painted-on-canvas paintings. Their vision is one of blurred creativity. Quite literally—their artwork shows subjects blurred to the point of minimal recognition. "We seek to provide a visual experience that activates our consciousness, that forces the viewer to recognize and re-establish the limits of their own perception." They explain the success of their atomized and ghostly “Antimatter" series by means of the ephemeral tone these unconventional portraits ruminate.
