Esther Oyeyemi

Esther Oyeyemi is a distinctive contemporary female artist who hails from Ibadan Oyo State Nigeria in April 1995. She's an aptitude artist who discovered her passion for art while in secondary school and from then has been practicing using different mediums as a form of expression. 

She works predominantly with acrylic as she explores the Yoruba mythology of twinhood and the belief that each human has a spiritual counterpart, an unborn spirit double. In, the case of twins the spiritual double has been born on earth.

Esther obtained Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in 2017 as a certified painter and graphic artist from the revered Emmanuel Alayande College of Education Oyo. She is a finalist at Obafemi Awolowo University,studying for BA(Ed).

Esther has been privileged to participate in both virtual and actual exhibitions such as the Lasgidi art exhibition, Lagos 2021, and Art Arising virtual exhibition (alliance51) 2021, Emerged as one of the top 100 Nigerian artists that participated in Life in my city art exhibition, 2022.
