Marek Pindroch

I began capturing beauty and aesthetics through photography for the first time in a work environment at the age of about 30. My job was occupational therapy with disadvantaged youth. We worked with plants and created various garden beds. It was there that I laid the foundation for perceiving the purity of nature.

My early shots, taken with a small compact camera, were not of high quality, but the joy of discovering something new, awakening deep within me, was powerful. A passion for something previously invisible to my eyes began to stir inside me. My work environment was no longer enough. Suddenly, even mushroom picking became photographically fascinating to me.

Spending more time in nature, my mind could no longer be satisfied with a stereotypical life. I felt the need for change—my heart needed renewal, and my soul longed for fulfillment. I left my job without knowing what would come next, but I knew I needed the silence of nature and a radical shift in my thinking. That marked the beginning of my journey to capture rare moments.

Those rare and unique moments I found on Pipitka Hill, in the southwestern part of eastern Slovakia, in the Volovské Hills. Silence and peace. I began to sense the hidden, the unknown, and the mysterious within myself. Interestingly, for several years now, I've been creating exclusively in this place, within a two-kilometer radius.

Receiving the first rays of sunlight at the hilltop with its beautiful and "infinite" horizon. Observing wildlife, listening to the silence, hearing the gentlest winds in the crowns of beeches and firs, watching the sky, the Milky Way, and the howling of wolves—it's all meditation. My vision deepened, from sunrises and sunsets to skies and subtle details in sunlight, and finally to macro photography.

I hope my work speaks to you and that through my visions, you will feel the depth of the spirit of nature that resides in each of us.
