Ángeles Miranda

Hello, I'm Angeles Miranda. I'd like to tell you a little about my work as an artist. I began studying Fine Arts in Madrid and finished in Granada, specializing in Painting Restoration. I worked for a few years in Restoration, then ended up dedicating myself to painting.

My paintings have been mostly figurative, with some touches of landscape, and now I'm more focused on abstract art. In portraiture, I try to explore not the technique itself, but the spirit of the person. With Abstract, I seek the color that can evoke its interpretation in people.

The paintings I present here are the result of research into the alcohol-based ink technique on a medium not normally used. I was interested in knowing how this material would react on an unconventional medium.

The result is gratifying compared to what I expected. It's difficult to master this technique on this medium since it doesn't allow you to intervene as easily as you could on paper or canvas.
