Biography
Ángel Celada is an Spanish artist whose work talks about the intersection of memory and trauma.
His artistic practice emerges with a visceral force, free from prior planning and driven by a vital need to create. Through abstract compositions rich in pictorial layers, graphic elements, stains, and collages, Celada develops a deeply personal language that oscillates between informalism and lyrical constructivism, with influences from Pop Art, Expressionism, Art Brut, and Conceptual Art.
His works are part of private collections in Spain, the U.S., Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan, and have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationwide. He has received several awards and honorable mentions and has been a finalist in numerous contemporary art competitions.
