I paint to give order to emotion, letting color lead the way.
Biography
Paco Requena is a Spanish abstract painter who lives and paints in southern Spain. A psychologist by training, he became interested in art during his university studies and began his artistic training by creating his first abstract works. Since then, he has taken part in both solo and group exhibitions, and his work can be found in galleries throughout his region.
Paco combines geometry with a more intuitive, free approach, creating compositions that play with the balance between order and chaos. His works are built from blocks of color, visual rhythms, and lines that cross and overlap, inviting the viewer to pause and find their own interpretation.
His palette is bold and full of contrast, inspired by the light and colors of southern Spain. Influenced by collage and 20th-century geometric abstraction, his work is shaped by fragments, imperfections, and deliberate choices. Rather than representing something specific, his paintings aim to evoke sensations and open up a space for emotion and personal meaning.
