Biography
Painter born in Geneva. He was also a professor there at the School of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts. His artistic work includes monumental decorations, theater sets, mosaics, tapestries, frescoes and stained glass windows for public or private buildings. He was a member of the Swiss Society of Fine Arts.
It is in painting that he has built his identity and a work of profound originality, of a universal aestheticism. His painting can be defined as that of silence, of the stripping and taming of geometric shapes playing with light. In the history of genres, his paintings could relate to still life, but he preferred the term silent nature.
