Rod McIntosh

Born in 1968, Rod McIntosh is an English painter, sculptor and industrial creation consultant. He lives and works between Kent and London.

Rod McIntosh studied sculpture in Sheffield. He embarked in an artistic career where he constantly renovates his practice. During his career, he has evolved and explored many different materials. He continuously experiments and learns new techniques. In the field of drawing, the artist develops an increasingly refined work. Rod McIntosh only uses pure pigments such as Indian and Chinese ink, graphite, charcoal and he mixes water, oil, egg and rice to create his materials.

On his drawings, the Zen circle ''enso "is a recurring subject. Rod McIntosh is particularly interested in the creative process and always enjoys the moment when he puts the last line on his rice or gesso paper.
