Bea Simpson was born in 1964, in San Francisco, California. She studied Painting at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Bea Simpson lives and works in San Francisco.
During her studies she spent one year at Clapham School of Art. Since 1995 she has participated in various group shows and international art projects in the United States, Italy, England and Turkey. Her recent works are mostly centered on issues around body, identity and gender politics, contemporary socio-cultural life, psychoanalysis and surrealistic street art.
