François Gruson

François Gruson is a French artist born in 1965. He lives and work in the North and participated in several group exhibition in Paris and in the North. 

Francois Gruson is a self-taught artist. Pencil artist since his childhood, it is only recently that he decided to make drawing his main activity.

Very naturally he adopted the pencil. A simple graphite which allows endless different shades, precise lines or on the contrary blurry and light, a luxury of details, lights and shades but staying sober and elegant.

François Gruson looks at the world with his photographer's eye but isolates his subjects to give them and them alone a sincere and moving tribute, while giving to the drawing a modern and contemporary dimension.
