Jean-Christophe Belaud is a multifaceted visual artist. With an atypical career that has led him to garner varied skills that have fueled his inspiration, he invites us through an unexpected material and that he is the only one to use. It brings us together around an art that questions the links that are woven between the singular and the universal, on our own relationship to the world. Jean-Christophe slices cleanly our ideas on current art to put in place a sincere and consistent art which gives us matter to think about. It pushes the limits of our perception, and brings us together thanks to signs known to all, not dependent on fashion since they find their origins in the genesis of human signs.
