ANTONI FAŁAT (born in 1942)
Polish painter and graphic artist.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He graduated with honors in 1969 in the atelier of Alexander Kobzdej.
Co-founder of the Group "Aut" (Aut Pictura Aut Nihil ). The initiator of the artistic movement "O poprawę" (For improvement).
In the 1980s, he participated in the independent cultural movement.
In 1992-96, he was a member of the Council of Culture of the President of the Republic of Poland.
In 1992, he founded the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw.
In 1997 he was awarded the Medal of the National Commission of Education.
In 2005, his paintings were exhibited at the United Nations in Geneva and in 2017 - in the European Parliament in Brussels.
Shortlisted for the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Prize in Fine Arts in 2018. Works in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Torun, Bydgoszcz, Zachęta Gallery, in Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Gent, the Pushkin Museum and the Art Institute in Moscow.
