Qin Han

A graduate of the two largest art academies in China, Qin Han is a passionate artist whose talent has already irradiated the walls of many galleries. Sensitive to the smallest detail and eager for new discoveries, it is not by chance that this astonishing artist chose to enroll at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Her open-mindedness and her enthusiasm have always pushed her to go further in her creations. After brilliant studies at the Hangzhou Academy of Arts, France seemed an excellent destination to perfect his work and try out new techniques.

For four years, Qin Han had the honor of practicing in the studio of Jean-Luc Vilmouth, artist and director of the department of studies at the Beaux-arts in Paris. Having become his tutor, Jean-Luc Vilmouth appreciates the sincere and unusual work that emerges from the hands of Qin Han. He approves of the purity of her artistic approach, which is now reaching maturity and evokes the first impressions of his meeting with the Chinese artist: "From our first meeting, I noticed a particular personality, open to the world, curious. I really liked his large installation, with black and white stripes on the scale of the street made in his University in Hangzhou. It was the first time that I saw a work like that in a Chinese student file ."

Over the course of his career, Qin Han's creations have come closer and closer to drawing and collage. With new artistic experiences and confronted with a culture very different from her own, Qin Han expresses her many thoughts in her drawings. Simple and spontaneous, his lines transport the viewer into a world that artists have rarely sketched out until now, a world with childlike airs, filled with dreams and poetry, where two cultures take each other by the hand.

About his recent creations, Qin Han says he wants to welcome dreamers into his dreams and adds: "My recent creations are more in paper cutting, I like this mode of creation because it is always an adventure. It allows me to accumulating episodes of everyday life, one by one, idea by idea, like stars shining in the dark. I wait until things happen and I make a starry vault out of them. I like see myself as an adventurer at the heart of creation."

Since his arrival in Paris, Qin Han's creations have been presented in numerous galleries and various exhibition venues. From 2012 to 2014, she exhibited more than twenty works in four countries (China, France, Japan, Netherlands). From the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris to the Espace Pierre Cardin via the Maison du Japon, there are countless French institutions that have hosted and recognized his work.
