Anna-Louisa Luigi

Anna Louisa Luigi was born in Paris on October 9, 1995.

Bathed since birth in the arts and letters within her education, her love of beauty has not ceased to inspire her over time.

She pursues a long classical training as a musician since the earliest childhood in piano, and in lyrical singing in which she is preparing to practice soon. Passionate for a long time by the great arias of Italian operas, the most beautiful works of Baroque music or even German romantic compositions, she says that she found there the purest expression of all the feelings of the soul and the heart, a place of perfect harmony between spirituality and the body.

During these years of musical studies and even long before, she also nurtured a passion for all the ornaments invented by humanity throughout history, whether tableware or clothing, through the art of loving and seducing.

Everything related to poetry, waking dreams and splendor has accompanied these past years and continues to motivate each of his creations.

Thus, during the year 2019, she reconnects with the practice of drawing, and deepens that of painting. Two years later, she brought together an “EROS” series of eighteen scenes painted in gouache or drawn in pencil. One big pattern brings them all together:

Eroticism in all its forms and in all its moments. Far from obscene graphics or crudely portrayed acts, she leaned on the moment "before" or at least, if she made a few exceptions, the moment that inspired her was so beautiful, she is interested in describing the aesthetics of these scenes down to the smallest detail, a window on the dawn or a barely wilted flower participating in her eyes just as much in the pleasures of the scene as the hip of a blooming woman or the gaze of her lover resting on her.

Finally, the particular “staging” of these erotic paintings owe much in their inspiration to the atmospheres of operas, so familiar to the artist.
