Annie-Claire Alvoët

Annie-Claire Alvoët is one of this generation of emerging artists who draw their inspiration from the multidisciplinary practice of the arts: drawing, painting, sculpture and film. An accomplished visual artist, her paintings stimulate the senses and challenge the public with their formal energy. Each composition is first offered as abstract combinations. The spectator must tame these abstractions to access the intimacy of the subject depicted. The gaze slides and is caught in the play of colors and shapes. At the end of this experience, he suddenly captures this fragile moment where the motif hesitates between appearance and disappearance. Annie-Claire Alvoët searches each space, works on rhythms and pays particular attention to movement. Her work finds its source in the codes of classic and contemporary aesthetics that she redefines by capturing the emotions of the present moment. For Annie-Claire Alvoët each painting is the expression of a meticulous research guided by the same obsession: bringing life out of chaos. Annie-Claire Alvoët participates in numerous exhibitions in France and in 2012 obtained the Funaoka Canvas Prize at the Salon d'Automne in Paris. Born in 1976 and trained at the Beaux-Arts in Nancy, Annie-Claire Alvoët lives and works between Paris and Château-Thierry.
