light sculptor

Mapie BelGary was born into a family of artists and craftsmen, fertile ground that encouraged the artist to take the paths of the Boulle school.
Since 2004, she has given more and more importance to the artistic: today she describes herself as a sculptor, an artist engraver.
She leaves a trace on the metal with her chisels and transmutes, like an engraver, the rendering on different supports, here on paper.
His gestures, punctuated by the tool, give strength, softness and poetry to his creations inspired by nature.
The finesse on the metal translates with refinement in the paper during the pressing of the sheet into paper pulp.
The white monochrome aspect gives her creations an assumed zenitude of this passionate woman.

Her current research leads her to aquagravure and becomes wall sculptures whose volumes and projections more or less catch the light.
In 2023, she enters the program of the Strasbourg publisher, l'ESTAMPE.
Based in Normandy and Ile de France, Mapie continues to innovate while extending the traditional gestures of chasing.
The other creations are inspired by the painter of the stylist Issey Miyaké and Aurélie NEMOURS, where the graphics are based on the rhythm and the repetition of simple geometries.
