Patrick Sarfati is a French artist.
He’s been a photographer since 1979. His favorite subject is the human body, more specifically the male body. Through his photography, the artist wishes to reveal the beauty of these figures, he wants to transcribe their body language. In order to do so, Patrick Sarfati does not hesitate to depict the bodies in reference to literature.
Using the same approach as Bob Mizer and Bruce of Los Angeles, he photographs a great deal of athletes and bodybuilders.
Sarfati’s works are displayed in numerous international galleries as well as reproduced in various books. Always close to the world of fashion and art, he created several portraits of celebrities, including those of Keith Haring, Jeanne Moreau, Grace Jones and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
