Michel Verna

A break from photographic life.

Immersed in photography at the age of 16 as an apprentice, Michel Verna made a detour to film school before returning to his first love as a self-employed worker. Photostory, documentaries, industrial or institutional photos.

In 2008, he decided to let his artistic sensibility speak for itself by regularly presenting his work. He looked for his way, touched on various processes (photographic variations, work on black and white, digital techniques, from portrait to landscape ...). For a few years he has superimposed two visions of our environment: the first around lines, these lines that depict our daily landscape, the second around the hidden face of nature, revealing the invisible.

The Black and White, a time removed, has become very present in his work. It fully reflects the emotions of men at work, portraits of labor and celebration, Fine Art, Black and White or sepia prints, illuminate the invisible sensations in the expression of the face, in the light of the gaze. All this photographic art which consists, without software artifices, in being the painter of the snapshot.
