Ajda Kara

I grew up being both shared and nourished by the Kurdish, Turkish and French cultures. This multiculturalism has largely influenced my works whose recurring theme, sometimes underlying but almost omnipresent, is the questioning of identity, the feeling of belonging to a place, a territory, a culture, or several, which coexists with that of being sometimes "foreign" regardless of where you land. My photographic projects are influenced by my daily life and my experiences.
