Presentation
From Tapies to Basquiat, via Romanesque art and literature, Éric Stein draws his inspiration from a wide variety of influences and artists in order to create his own universe.
His paintings are thus often accompanied by words and quotes not intended to shed light on the subject but rather to question the viewer and initiate a reflection on a given theme. It is also by creating oppositions that the painter seeks to arouse interest and questioning. Dark circles and lines, imprecise and unstructured, mingle with the colors of each canvas, creating this impression of movement, disorder and chaos, which characterizes the work of Éric Stein.
