Linmay Komine is an artist living in Tokyo. Born in Fukushima prefecture in 1958, lives in Tokyo since 1977. Linmay started drawing his own sincere was little.He was been painting with oil painting since he was about 13 years old.
After that Linmay studied oil painting professionally at Tama art university in Tokyo, and he started to try abstract works. Linmay went to graduate course at Tama art university, and he held his first solo exhibition in 1981.And 1983-1987, Linmay worked as an assistant to Tama art university Oil Painting Laboratory.
Linmay is pursuing the depth of color space, beautiful textures, flat composition and landscape of the paintings. The minimal music, the ambient music he met in 1970s, brought him closer to the world of his painting and music.Linmay is also actually collaborating with music.
