Zeina Kamareddine Badran

Born in 1961 in Tripoli, Zeina Kamareddine Badran is a Lebanese painter.

She started painting as a self taught artist before entering the Lebanese American University to study Fine arts.Today she teaches art at the same university. She studied lithography, engraving and silkscreen printing at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts as well.

Kamareddin Badran’s paintings depict repetitions. While studying the
sterilizing effects of conformity, the artist searches for the individuality
from within repeating patterns. It is through the identical that she pursues
individuality.

The artist has received numerous awards including the prize "The Spirit of Excellence" in 2002 and the 1st prize for painting from the Ministry of Culture during the Visual Arts Forum organized by UNESCO. Her pieces are exposed in several public and private collections including at the French Cultural Center and the Armenian Parliament Collection in Yerevan.
