Piet Parra
Netherlands • 1976
Presentation
Parra of his real name Pieter Janssen is a Dutch artist born in 1976.
Illustrator, graphic designer, typographer, designer, Parra accumulates skills and caps which makes him an artist impossible to categorize. His style is recognized for his pop visuals in saturated colors.
He draws his “Post Pop" heritage from Pop Art and experimental graphics from the 1960s. (An heir to Keith Haring, so to speak). His universe is populated by surreal and eccentric characters "half man half penguin" who made his fame. "Touch to everything" Parra expresses itself through different mediums (paintings, drawings, sculptures) and declines its universe on quantity of products (t-shirt, cup, skateboard, vase...).
