Artist Statement:

I am a professional artist living and working in Madrid. I was interested by art from an early age and then I studied Fine Art at University of Barcelona. I have won numerous awards (more than 70 awards) and my work is found in many private, municipal and corporate collections around the world.
My painting is evocative, passionate, expressive and magical. Striving to achieve a harmony of tones, my painting contains a pleasing balance between light and dark using vibrant colors. Atmosphere, effect of light and composition are very important in my work. My paintings express a peculiar pictorial language with a personal treatment of light and color. I think that painting is the best way to express my feelings and emotions.

Artistic Influences:

My artwork is influenced by the great masters of painting such as Claude Monet, William Turner, Rembrandt and Diego Velázquez. But also contemporary artists like Antonio Lopez.
Of the artistic movements of history I am more interested in impressionism because I believe that it is the movement that most expresses painting and color in its pure state.
My inspiration is nature, imagination, my travels, my daily observations and experimentation with different materials and techniques.
