Biography
Emanuele Vittorioso was born in Siracusa in 1977.
He attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan from 1997 to 2002, specializing in restoration and preservation of cultural heritage. In the years following, he participated in important restoration yards across Italy.
During his training, he always reserved time and energy for a personal journey in the use of colors and varnish paints. His early works, made with spray cans, bring out his love for street art. Being fascinated by the painting of the ’50s and ’60s, he creates a mix of graffiti and abstraction with a personal and original trait.
His canvases are fighting arenas for the construction of a new language, moments of freedom and spontaneity that are expressed in the alternation between movement and stillness. They show a constant search for order that contrasts with the charm of chaos.
He currently lives and works in Siracusa.
