Présentation
Christa David est une artiste visuelle, écrivain et chercheuse. Inspirée par les œuvres artistiques de Romare Bearden, Wangechi Mutu, Alma Woodsey Thomas et les œuvres littéraires de James Baldwin, Christa David fusionne les médiums de la peinture, du collage et de l'assemblage pour créer et recréer des histoires sur le foyer, l'appartenance, la foi et l'identité. En septembre 2016, après des années à "faire de l'art dans les interstices" (nuits et week-ends) parallèlement à son travail exigeant de chercheuse senior en santé publique à New York, Christa David a sauté dans la création artistique à plein temps. Christa David est fière d'être Lionne de l'Université de Columbia à deux reprises, titulaire d'une licence et d'une maîtrise de l'Université de Columbia. Ses œuvres font partie de collections personnelles et publiques dans tous les États-Unis, y compris l'éminent David C. Driskell Center, et ont été exposées récemment à la foire AAKA à Paris, en France, et à la PRIZM Art Fair à Art Basel à Miami Beach. Christa David vit et travaille actuellement entre New York et Atlanta.
