Omnipresente y tan natural en la era de los smartphones, la historia de la fotografía es un procedimiento relativamente reciente a escala de la humanidad. Aunque los inicios de la técnica se establecen a principios del siglo XIX, se acuerda atribuir su invención a Louis Daguerre en 1839. Asociado a Niepce, mejora el tiempo de exposición en el cuarto oscuro y modifica los componentes químicos necesarios para el desarrollo de la imagen. El daguerrotipo se revela al público el 7 de enero de 1839 durante una reunión de la Academia de Ciencias. El éxito mundial no se hace esperar. Los estudios fotográficos aparecen por todas partes y las familias más ricas e influyentes de la época se hacen fotografiar en blanco y negro. Progresivamente, el proceso toma cada vez menos tiempo y el material ocupa cada vez menos espacio. Los trípodes también desaparecen. En 1889, Eastman Kodak lanza una cámara portátil con un carrete y la fotografía entra en una nueva dimensión. Los artistas aprovechan esta oportunidad y la fotografía artística progresa a gran velocidad. El siglo XX está marcado así por el trabajo de grandes fotógrafos: Walker Evans, Henri Cartier Bresson, Robert Mapplethorpe, Raymond Depardon y, por supuesto, Robert Doisneau son sus nombres. Con ellos, nuestra visión del mundo parece alterada. Marcan el fin de un mundo y abren uno nuevo del cual fijan los contornos y colores cada uno a su manera. Nos permiten vislumbrar las realidades sociales, las tragedias vividas por la población, pero también inmortalizan la magia de Hollywood y los grandes personajes de su época. Sus herederos siguen sus pasos y se inspiran de su técnica única de encuadre y captura, pero las posibilidades de creación aumentan aún más gracias a las proezas de la tecnología digital. Si bien algunos conservan un amor inquebrantable por las Leica analógicas, hay muchos que las cambian por la nitidez de las réflex y luego juegan con la posproducción de la fotografía para cambiar mejor los rasgos y el significado. La colección de Artsper es representativa de la creación fotográfica internacional desde los años 50 hasta la actualidad. Dos principios pueden guiarte en tu proceso de adquisición de una fotografía artística: tener en cuenta la diversidad de los enfoques artísticos, o la constitución de conjuntos, a través de la adquisición de la integralidad de series, permitiendo así adquirir colecciones monográficas coherentes. Ya se trate de retratos, de paisajes románticos, de imágenes urbanas, de la vida doméstica, o relato de eventos, la fotografía permite tener una representación fiel de uno mismo o de lo que nos rodea.
