Biography

Born in 1953 in Dunkirk, France, the artist studied architecture at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, then attended the Studio of sculptor Charles Gadenne. He dedicates his career to animal sculpture and to engraving. Roch Vandromme lives and works in his own studio in Dunkirk.

He visits the farms, circuses and the zoo, watches animals, and then draws them in their familiar attitudes and then he models them in clay.

He captures snapshots of their peaceful days and gives them life in bronze sculptures of all sizes, of which he produces 8 original pieces + IV artist's copies.

His drawings and engravings are sold by the artist when he completes the series of sculptures.
