Joel Bostaetter

A self-taught artist with a passion for abstract art, my use of metal attempts to approximate the ornamental columns of classical architecture to the sculpted monoliths of ancient peoples in their structural solidity.

The unique work on each piece, compressed to over 100 tonnes, blends the purely geometric with the organic feeling of the natural world, to create something that is both surprisingly foreign and pleasantly familiar.
