David Karsenty

David Karsenty is a French artist, born in 1972 in Normandy.

After studying psychology, he decided to devote himself to art and work for himself. Therefore, he is completely self-taught.

The artist turned towards the universe of street art and graffiti. He claims the codes of pop art and questions our world, a victim of excessive media exposure through this iconography. Drawing inspiration from contemporary icons, but also from the world of music and cinema, or fashion and art generally speaking, he asserts himself in the same lines as his ancestors and incarnates the new generation.

His work is sprinkled with symbols from streets, onomatopoeia or figures belonging to the world of comics or cartoon. This way, he criticizes our way of current communication and the importance we give to the images of our exchanges. By exploiting the collective imagination, he denounces the hegemony of networks, which clamps us down today.
