Biography
Daniele Steardo was born and grew up in Genoa, a marine city so beloved by many painters, starting with Émile Bernard. But, once enrolled in the school of fine arts in the city, he first wanted to be a sculptor. Even to the point that he continued his studies in Carrara where he attacked marble like no one else, obtaining his first commission from the City of Milan in 2006: a monumental marble installed in the Bruzzano district.
Then, without abandoning sculpture, he quickly asserted himself as a prodigy painter who discovered drawing during a seminar in Augsburg, Germany, alongside Valerio Adami. Hence the paintings he offers, powerfully structured, not to say inhabited. Paintings by a complete and prodigiously gifted artist, capable of profoundly marking his era.
