Biography
Adela Burdujanu is a painter born in Moldova. She lives and works in France. She studied at the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts, Faculty of Visual Arts, Chisinau, Moldova and at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Plastic Arts). She is a painting and drawing teacher.
In her paintings, Adela questions the different possibilities of representation. She works on highlighting pictorial structures, on the transformation of forms, on questioning time and space... Up close there are painting strokes, gestures, sometimes abrupt, violent, angry; from further away, the noise and life of a metropolis. The further back we go, the further away we get from the canvas, the more precise the vision becomes, not everything is grasped at first glance, the painting is thus alive.
In her paintings which she describes as "Varied Vibrations", it is a moment that she 'borrows' from time, it is a fixation of the real world; Adela Burdujanu throws what is in her mind onto the canvas, she leaves her ''imprint'' on the canvas. By transcribing her memories in this way, she creates doubts about what actually exists, what is real, as opposed to what is imagined, dreamed, fictitious...
The artist's goal is to destabilize through timelessness, to disrupt everyone's perception. The general idea remains to merge art and life because for Adela Burdujanu, painting is a way of thinking, of rediscovering and introducing the outdoors indoors.
