Presentation

Farrukh Negmatzade is a painter and graphic artist born in 1959 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. He graduated from the prestigious Moscow State Academic Art Institute.

As a member of the Union of Artists of Tajikistan, Farrukh Negmatzade stands faithful to national traditions dating back centuries. Farrukh incorporates his fascination with metaphorical signs, ornamental motifs, and ancient eastern Asian miniatures into his artwork. In his paintings, Farrukh presents modern Tajikistan: the rural life of residents with its simple way and leisurely rhythm, featuring the beauty of the Tajik people and the natural world around them. Farrukh addresses universal joy, sadness, love, separation, childhood, youth, and old age.

In 2017, his works, united by a common theme titled “Tajikistan is My Land", were showcased at the world's largest fine art exhibition, Artexpo New York, in NYC. Farrukh has also held numerous solo exhibitions in sixteen different countries, and his works have garnered recognition while finding their place in museums and private collections worldwide.
