Mark Cloet

It is silence that inspires Mark Cloet. The starting points of his work are sketches based on a mathematical formula which sometimes takes the form of an equation or sometimes that of a series of elements which order the chaos. Previously his inspiration came from known shapes and objects. But today it is rather imaginary drawn objects that give rise to forms appealing to the viewer's unconscious. His drawings are thus purified to infinity. His very thorough work results in very pure sculptures which are essentially made of the unsupported skin of a skeleton.'
