Biography
Blinky Palermo (born Peter Heisterkamp 1943-1977) was an influential figure in post-war German abstraction. A student of Joseph Beuys, Palermo adopted his pseudonym in 1964borrowing the name of an American mobster and boxing promoteras an ironic gesture reflecting the conceptual currents of the time.
