It is through my work on black and the reflection of light that we discover my artistic approach and the visual experience that we have in front of my collages.

Entirely self-taught, my work on material, volumes and the role of light is reminiscent of my career as an interior designer. Geometric shapes have always been a common thread in my artistic approach, particularly line , the square and the cube.

My work is based on the reflection of light on different supports and materials, such as golden copper leaf, and the chromatic range of blacks applied to wooden cubes, cut at an angle. Reflections of light are captured using different techniques, such as the application of golden copper sheets on concave wooden squares, or assemblies of matte and glossy black cubes, all applied either to a black aluminum panel or on a structured wooden panel. Oxidation on the golden copper sheets adds a bluish color which does not distort the metal.

The spectator becomes an actor in his own perception of light, the painting vibrates and moves according to the way we look at it.
