Dominique Sarrouy

Passionate about the Arts, I have worked all my life in music and drawn and painted at the same time.

I moved from drawing to painting and from figurative to abstract (very recently).

Over time I have used various supports (paper, canvas, fabrics, wood) and techniques (glued paper, string, plaster, cement, wood powder, fabrics, colored pencil, felt-tip pen, inks, acrylic or oil).

It was a visit to the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm that was a trigger for me. My drawings and paintings had already evolved and I had a different, really stylized style.

The series I present here is similar to intuitive painting. First, I choose a color and it is this that will define everything, shapes and other colors. I decide that the painting is finished when the emotion rises in me.
